Parish Hall
Braunton Parish Hall was built in 1926 and subject to a major modernisation programme in 1973. It is situated on the main Exeter to Ilfracombe Road in the centre of the village and consists of a large main hall and stage with entrance foyer; a smaller Committee Room; kitchen; Council Chamber and Parish Council offices.
It is owned and managed by Braunton Parish Council on behalf of the residents of the Parish with hire charges for the general public and commercial hire. The predominant usage of the building in recent times is as a meeting place and for fundraising events. It also plays host to several dance groups.
The Parish Hall is well booked throughout the year and has regular local user groups at least 4 evenings of every week. The size of the rooms preclude any conflict with other buildings which are available for hire in the centre of the Village and as a result local people benefit from a wide variety of facilities. Its central location also makes it popular for use as a consultation venue for local issues.
The Committee Room can be used for smaller meetings and events.
The Council Chamber is used for Council and sub-committee meetings and informal Council meetings.
The office is open to members of the public between the hours of 9 am and 12 noon each weekday.
For copies of the booking conditions and charges for the Parish Hall and its associated rooms please see below. Charges are reviewed annually and a full revised list is available in January of each year. Please note that Public Liability Insurance is required for some bookings.
